AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS EYEBROWS

Please follow these instructions for 14 days after the procedure to improve and prolong the results of your SPMU. If you don’t follow these instructions, it can significantly affect your SPMU results or put you at risk for infection, scarring, or loss of pigmentation!

Items you need immediately after the procedure:

– Distilled water – Mild Soap -Sterile gauze – Aquaphor

Avoid getting anything on the brows, including water, except for cleansing as directed.

Day 1 -3

Do not touch brows. You may gently wipe around the brows with distilled water.

Day 4-14

Wash very gently with mild soap every morning and night. Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor throughout the day as needed when brows feel dry. Do not pick or rub the brows. The scabs/flakes must fall off on their own, or you risk removing the color and possibly scarring.

• DO NOT get the brows wet other than washing. Do not soak the treated area in the bath, pool, or hot tub. For 30 days, refrain from swimming in salt water or chlorinated pools, saunas, hot yoga, steam rooms or sunbeds. Avoid hot, steamy showers.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Initially, your brows appear more bold than usual. Over the next few days after the procedure, your brows may darken during the healing process. Darkening is normal, and this is not the way they look after healing. Around 7-14 days, you may notice some flaking/shedding of the skin near the brow area. Think of this is very small “scabs” falling off the skin now that the skin underneath has healed. You may feel they appear uneven at times because of this. When the skin flakes off, many times the pigment appears very light, or sometimes it seems it has disappeared. THIS IS NORMAL!

Because there is still a thick layer of protective, opaque skin, creating a veil over the pigment. Once you go through a skin cycle (4-6 weeks) the pigment reappears but with about 30-50% lighter than it was immediately after the procedure

Lips Healing process

• Day 1: (right after procedure) My lips feel a little swollen and tight.
• Day 2: My lips are much darker and still feel swollen & dry but I don’t feel pain. Healing cream helps!
• Day 3-4: The skin is flaking and scabbing and the color has faded substantially.
• Day 5-6: My lips feel almost normal. The flaking is almost gone.
• Day 7-10: My lips have completely healed but the color is much lighter than after the procedure.
• After 8 weeks: The color has come back nicely. There are some uneven spots. Time to schedule touch up.

Lip Neutralization/ blush Aftercare

Do & Don’t:

• After the procedure, gently blot the area with a clean tissue every 5 minutes until the oozing has stopped
• Keep the area dry for 24 hours
• Gently wash with mild soap twice/day
• Apply thin layer of ointment 3 times/day
• Do not use washcloth, pick or scratch tattooed area
• Do not use steam, sauna, swim for 10 days
• Do not put make up on tattoo area for 10 days
• No heavy sweaty exercise for 1 week
• Avoid the SUN for 1 week

Further advice

• After procedure use ice packs 3-4 times for 15 minutes spurts in first day to reduce swelling.
• Drink from a straw the first few days and avoid salty, spicy food.

Instructions
